Berry Lemon Breakfast Smoothie

It's officially August! Where did the time go? I have been really enjoying my summer so far and taking in all the amazing weather. We have had really gorgeous weather the past month in Chicago. It has been sunny most days and SUPER HOT. Most days are 80s and 90s! 

In this type of weather, I crave smoothies for breakfast 90% of the time. After my morning workout, when I am sweaty and starving, all I want is a filling and delish smoothie. I have been enjoying this berry lemon smoothie the past few weeks literally on repeat (and mixed in with my Berry Chocolate Smoothie recipe). It is tart, refreshing and super healthy. I have been rotating between blueberries and raspberries for this one. They both go great with the fresh lemon too!  This smoothie gives me everything I need first thing in the morning and keeps me fueled until lunch. 

The key to this smoothie - Health Warrior Superfood Protein Powder. I used the vanilla flavor for this one. It packs in 20G of protein and 5G of fiber per scoop. Plus, it has probiotics in it and less than 1G of sugar. I actually do not feel like I need to put 30 ingredients in my smoothie because this protein powder really is a one stop shop. It is made with real food ingredients (can I get an amen?) like pumpkin seeds, chia seeds and flax seeds. I am so onboard with this product and truly use it daily! I know you guys will love it.

 ½ cup Coconut Water
 ½ Lemon, Freshly Squeezed
 1 Banana
 1 Scoop Health Warrior Vanilla Protein
 1 cup Frozen Berries (Blueberry + Raspberry are my faves)
 1 tbsp Almond Butter
 1 cup Ice (Helps to make it thick)

Combine all ingredients in a high speed blender and blend until thick!

Note: I use a vitamix with a blender stick that you control with your hand. This helps me mix it really well and keep it thick!
