VIRAL PUFF PASTRY HACK! I have seen variations of this so many times, and I had to try it for myself. It was so easy! The options are truly endless! I tried an apricot, nectarine, ricotta and balsamic combination for a little sweet and savory seasonal treat. You could honestly do so many different things. I can’t wait to use this method to try more combinations. The details below!
1 puff pastry sheet, cut into 6 even pieces
2 nectarines, sliced thin
1/2 C apricot jam (approximately 6 heaping tablespoons)
1/2 C ricotta cheese (approximately 6 heaping tablespoons) *use whole milk / creamy*
1 egg (whisked for egg wash)
Balsamic glaze for drizzling
Flaky sea salt to sprinkle on top
Preheat oven to 400. Prepare ingredients.
Line and grease a cookie sheet
Add 6 dollops of apricot jam onto the cookie sheet evenly spread out
Add sliced nectarines on top of the apricot jam
Add a dollop of ricotta cheese on top of the nectarines
Add puff pastry pieces on top and press down around the edges
Lastly brush a thin layer of egg wash on each
Bake at 400 for 18 to 20 minutes.
