Where to eat in Chicago: Summer 2021

CHICAGO FOOD RECS for Summer 2021! Below is a list of where we ate and drank this past memorial day weekend in Chicago! When we lived in Chicago last year, the food one was of my favorite parts of the city. Going back after the pandemic really had been excited to experience that again. There are SO many incredible spots and neighborhoods, I feel like I need a trip every weekend to get it all. Anyways, below is the list of where we actually went on our trip. This was really the first weekend that Chicago was opening up and it felt so good to enjoy our time there.

☕️ @lacolombecoffee Gold Coast – My go-to is an Iced Oat Milk “Black and Tan” or an iced Oat Milk latte.
🍴 @eduardosenoteca Gold Coast ⁣- Loved the Burrata here and the Green Goddess Salad. Such a cute hidden gem with a neighborhood feel.
🍴 @eatatandros Logan Square ⁣- This is a new greek spot that was insanely good. I loved the spicy feta dip, eggplant dip, and pita. We also got the romaine salad which seems so basic, but it was filled with fresh herbs and was insane. The Chicken and Octopus were also huge hits. The ambiance is amazing too.
🥯 @realgoodstuffco River North ⁣- A go-to healthy spot! I love their bagel bar, “noyo” and salad bowls.
🍴 @rosemarychicago Fulton ⁣- NEW Italian / Croatian spot that took A LOT to get a reservation at. So book. in advance. LOVED the seasonal salad, prawns, lamb pasta, and rigatoni. I need to back to try more so good.
☕️ @ediescafebar River North ⁣- super cute cafe. I got the avocado toast.
🍴 @tavernonrush Gold Coast ⁣- A Chicago classic. Their steak salad is amazing.
🍴 @amarurestaurant Wicker Park ⁣- Such a unique pan Latin restaurant. Love the Yuka Fries, bacon dates, and burger!
🍴 @fiskandco The Loop ⁣- great oysters and brunch! Love the lobster roll.
🍴 @monteverdechi West Town ⁣- MY FAVE RESTAURANT EVER. It always lives up to the hype. The Burrata starter is a must and whatever the fresh pasta is. The chef is always making super creative dishes with seasonal ingredients. We ordered A LOT and honestly, everything was 100.
🍴 @giltbar River North ⁣- LOVED this spot when we lived there. A mix of American and Italian. Super cute and romantic inside. If you can, ask to sit in the”speakeasy” downstairs.
🍴 @caferobey Wicker Park ⁣- Amazing brunch in wicker. The fries/wedges are also amazing!
☕️ @goddessbaker River North ⁣- a magical bakery! Love the coffee and eats too.
