5 Simple Healthy Snack Ideas

I am serious about my snacking! I always have yummy and healthy snack options at home to fuel my day. As a new working mom, this is KEY! If I know I have great snack options on hand, I feel so much better. And, I recently stocked up on all my snacking essentials at Meijer! Now, to the SNACK HAUL. 

Yogurt and Granola

I am a huge yogurt person, so this has always been a go-to for me. Fill up a cup with Meijer plain yogurt or Meijer Greek yogurt and add your fave granola. I LOVE the Meijer Vanilla Almond. The clusters are perfection. The Toasted Coconut is another fave. The perfect amount of crunch is so satisfying. 

Sliced Apples and Crunchy Peanut Butter

The apples looked amazing at Meijer, so I picked up some Honeycrisps and True Goodness (Meijer Brand) natural crunchy peanut butter. Love the combo of a tart, crisp apple with crunchy peanut butter. So delicious. I love to slice them up and add a small spoonful to each piece. If you are feeling extra fancy, sprinkle some cinnamon on it! 

Cut Up Veggies

Back to basics here. Gotta love some cut up carrots and celery. Meijer has these already washed, peeled and cut up into sticks for you. Makes it EASY. I love that so much. You can also snag a dip too for these. Meijer has a ton of options. Plus, we all need veggies in our day, right? Yes, yes.

Hard Boiled Eggs

Ok this is a MUST for me. I love having hard boiled eggs to snack on for a quick protein boost. Meijer has a ton of options here as well. I got the cage-free ones! My method is to boil a big pot of water, add the eggs (be gentle so they do not crack) and let the boil roll for 8 minutes. After 8 minutes, remove the eggs carefully and place in a large bowl of ice water. Let them sit for about 10 minutes before peeling. Peel and store in the fridge. Grab for a quick snack or add to toast for breakfast. Win win! Pro tip – sprinkle some sea salt or everything seasoning on top before biting in. So good!

Cheese Sticks

Last but not least, cheese sticks. I have been loving cheese sticks as a snack for my entire life. So easy to grab and enjoy. I find snacking on cheese super satisfying. Meijer has literally every cheese in stock form. I love the Colby Jack and Pepper Jack. So good!
