Hello homemade peppermint mocha latte! The "peppermint mocha" Starbucks holiday drink is usually my absolute FAVE each season. The red cups make me SO happy. I decided I wanted to try to make a homemade version of the peppermint mocha latte at HOME. I tested a few different options and came up with the perfect simple recipe. This is a lot cheaper and likely healthier to make it at home. Plus, I know we are all looking to make our at home life more exciting this winter and holiday season. I hope you enjoy!
For this Homemade Peppermint Mocha Latte, I used:
- Peppermint Extract
- Maple Syrup
- Espresso Coffee - A long espresso pod from my Nespresso Machine. Any espresso or full cup Nespresso pod will work! You can also use regular brewed coffee too. Just make sure to leave room for that mocha frothed milk and toppings! This is the Nespresso machine I use.
- Milk frother - you can either use a frother machine or a hand frother. This is the one I use!
- Almond Milk - I used silk unsweetened. You can also use regular milk too. Some non-dairy milks do not froth well, so consider that.
- Cocoa Powder - For that chocolatey component of course!
- Optional - Marshmallows and chocolate sprinkles

Add peppermint extract and maple syrup to your coffee cup.
Brew espresso into the cup. I used a Nespresso espresso pod. Or pour in your hot coffee to the mug.
Froth almond milk with 1 tsp of cocoa powder.
Pour warm frothed milk on your coffee. Of course, include all the foam!! Optional to add marshmallows and chocolate sprinkles on top. But highly recommend for some extra festiveness.
