Cinnamon French Toast w/ Sprouted Bread

Easy, healthy and delicious french toast! Nothing better on a weekend if you ask me. Especially with a hot cup of coffee and good company. French toast a good option for brunch and it is sure to please everything. This is made with very simple ingredients and tastes incredible!

All you need is eggs, almond milk, vanilla, cinnamon, berries, peanut butter (optional toppings), grass-fed butter for cooking and of course fresh bread. I used Angelic Bakehouse Sprouted 7-grain bread. It is super hearty and absolutely delish. Sprouted Cinnamon French Toast

This recipe makes 2 servings with 4-5 pieces of bread. 

Ingredients:

 4 Eggs
 1 cup Almond Milk or Regular Milk
 1 tsp Vanilla
 2 tsp Cinnamon
 4 Bread Slices (I love sprouted bread)
 Grass Fed Butter or Oil to Cook
Toppings:
 Sliced Strawberries
 Maple Syrup
 Peanut Butter for drizzling

Sprouted Cinnamon French Toast

Directions:

Crack eggs into a mixing bowl and whisk well. Add in vanilla, almond milk, and cinnamon. Mix again.

Add two slices of bread to the mixing bowl and press down so it gets fully covered with the liquid mixture. Let it soak for 5 minutes.

Heat up grass-fed butter, oil, or vegan butter in the pan. When hot, add soaked bread onto the pan. Let it cook for 5 minutes on medium-high. Flip and cook for 2 minutes on the second side.

Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the next two slices of bread.

When the bread is browned on both sides, remove from pan and serve hot with drizzled peanut butter, maple syrup and berries.
