How to Cook Cauli Gnocchi

Cauliflower Gnocchi. Seriously a phenomenon and actually one of my favorite things to make! If you don’t know what this is, either you have been living under a rock (or in Canada), because it is truly one of the best items from Trader Joes. Gnocchi is just such a delicious food and the fact that this one is made out of cauliflower makes it all the more exciting to a healthy food blogger like me. Plus, it tastes amazing and can take so many different forms. It goes well with basically anything and takes no time to make.

Today I am going to share my favorite way to prepare it. I get a lot of questions about how I do this because if you follow the instructions on the package, it will come out GLUEY and gross. Trust me. Do not do that.

What you need:

  • Avocado Oil (best oil for high heat cooking. Olive oil works too or another vegetable oil)
  • 1 Package of Trader Joe’s Cauliflower Gnocchi, Frozen
  • Nothing else. No water!

Step 1:

Heat up avocado oil in a deep set pan. I add 2 -3 tbsp in and heat it up on medium/high.

Step 2:

Pour entire package of gnocchi (from frozen) into the pan. Using a spatula / wooden spoon, mix it around so that the oil coats all the pieces. You also want to try to break apart the frozen chunks with the spoon and for the gnocchi to be in a nice even layer and coated with oil.

Step 3:

Just let it cook on medium / high for about 7 – 10 minutes. Mix frequently. Once they get crispy and browned, you know they are ready!

That is it!

A few of my favorite ways to enjoy it:

Enjoy!
