Berry Bliss Smoothie

Berry Bliss Smoothie

I ALWAYS love a good smoothie. You can catch me sipping on one all year round, but especially in the summer! Not only are they a delicious and refreshing breakfast (or brunch, lunch, or snack...), but they're also such a great vehicle for adding in all sorts of seeds, superfoods, or other nutrient boosts!

For this Berry Bliss Smoothie, I tossed in the OM Mushrooms Beauty Organic Mushroom Powder, a supplement powder made from mushrooms that supports healthy skin, nails, and hair. I've been experimenting with different OM products lately, and this Beauty Organic powder has been my latest. It's so easy to add to my smoothies for that little extra boost. Made from a combination of five different mushrooms (chaga, maitake, shitake, cordyceps, and king trumpet) and provides a boost of antioxidants. Now, I know what you're probably thinking: "Mushrooms? In my berry smoothie? Nah " But I promise, you can't taste it at ALL, and you get all the benefits from an amazing combination of powerhouse mushrooms.

OM makes a variety of different functional mushroom products, and if you want to learn more, check out their FAQ page!

Here's what you need for this smoothie:

  • Frozen berries -- I used pomegranate seeds and raspberries, but choose your favorite!
  • Frozen avocado -- this will be easier to throw together if you cut your avocado into chunks first and then freeze it
  • A date
  • Nut milk
  • Chia seeds
  • Collagen or protein powder
  • OM Mushrooms Beauty Organic Powder
  • Toppings! My favorites are more berries, peanut butter, and granola
