There is something about spaghetti noodles that is so decadent... and so fun...and so tasty. And my recipe for Creamy and Crispy Prosciutto Spaghetti is a place for them to shine! It has flavorful, salty, savory prosciutto that has been crisped to perfection. Paired with the creamy, cheesy, glossy spaghetti noodles. This dish is absolutely delicious.
Creamy, savory, and of course a little crispy. This recipe is a perfect way to kick off my first ever pasta week! All week I will be sharing new and tasty pasta creations over on my Instagram. Make sure to check it out and share the pasta love!

INGREDIENTS:
DIRECTIONS:
Boil salted water for pasta. Cook pasta according to instructions to make it al dente. When pasta is cooking, start making the sauce.
In a large skillet over medium heat, heat up 1 tbsp olive oil and 1 tbsp butter. Line prosciutto in an even layer. Cook for 3-4 minutes on one side and flip. Cook until perfectly crispy, then remove and set aside to let cool.
Once cooled, chop into small strips/pieces.
Next, in the same pan with the same oil, add shallot and cook until tender. Reduce heat and add garlic, mix and cook for 1 minute.
Add heavy cream, grated parmesan and cooked pasta, mix well.
Add reserved pasta water and toss well until glossy.
Add more cheese or pasta water depending on the consistency you desire.
Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Add half of the crispy pieces of prosciutto and mix. Add the rest as a topping.
You can also garnish with bread crumbs and more Parmesan.
Enjoy!
