Banana bread is one of those timeless recipes — almost everyone loves it, it never goes out of style, and everyone’s got their own little way of making it. It’s a great way to make sure those extra ripe bananas don’t end up untouched in the trash can, and you can always tweak it to get it just the way you like. Mix in whatever you want, top it with whatever you want; however you slice it (ha!) it’s going to be a great project and absolutely delicious. Here are some of my favorite recipes from the blog to get you started!
Banana bread is one of my favorite things to make, and this might be one of my favorite versions of it. The first time I made it, Jacob and I finished a loaf in 12 hours. The honey-cinnamon paste that gets swirled into the batter right before baking is absolutely KEY. This baby has cinnamon roll vibes and I am totally into it.
Banana and pumpkin come together in this beauty to create a loaf that just pairs perfectly with your morning cup of coffee. It’s just lightly sweetened, so a thick slice makes a delicious breakfast. I used a gluten free all purpose flour for this one, but you could swap in almost any of your favorites to use what you have on hand.
Who doesn’t love pancakes? But does anyone really like standing over the stove flipping pancake after pancake to make the perfect stack? This banana bread is here to save the day. Made with some pancake mix I had in my pantry, this baby comes out soft and fluffy just like your favorite weekend morning pancakes.
You thought I was done with the honey cinnamon? Definitely not. I put a fall spin on this one with the addition of pumpkin puree, and oh boy is it good. Adding just a little bit of pumpkin pie spice to the paste in this one brings the whole loaf to a new level. If you haven’t kicked your fall baking bug, you’ve gotta give this one a try.
If you’ve never had babka, first things first go get yourself some babka! It’s a swirly and decadent chocolate bread that everyone should have at least once. Now, let’s make some banana bread. This baby is SOMETHING! Fluffy, chocolately, vegan, and oh so good.
A perfect fall twist on a perfect classic. Throw some pumpkin puree into your chocolate chip banana bread, and you’ve got this beautiful loaf staring back at you. It’s so easy, made with just a few simple ingredients, and it tastes like all things fall!
